From Pat Deveney's database:
Mentor, The. This proclaimed that it contained "Ascended Master Inspiration and Illumination for the purpose of providing The Chalice of The Spirit within each one, with That Essence of Truth which will reveal the way as the student moves forward upon the path way of Spiritual Revelation and Christ Attainment. From time to time, there will be included inspiring material and instruction received through other qualified channels and those thoughts and revelations which are expressed by other individuals who are perceptive to Wisdom and Truth." In practice this consisted of invocations of "Beloved Godfre" (Guy Ballard), injunctions to "Fortify Your Own Forcefield," discussions of "The Sacred Fire Breath," and formal greetings from the hierarchy: "I am a Messenger from the Royal Tetons. I have been Dispatched by the Great Lord Confucius to bear to you a message of Gratitude and of Love for your willingness to become open channels for the outpouring of the Christ-Conscious Light which now envelopes your earth. The dangers within the atmospheres of this planet are greater than you know. We invoke Thy Blazing Luminous Presences!' The journal was the organ for the Sanctuary of the Masters' Presence, Inc. in New York City, the messenger and "Percipient" for the which was Mildred Myneta Taylor Boos ("Mrs. Boos," "Mary Myneta," 1903-1983) who had been the leader of the New York Sanctuary of Geraldine Innocente's Bridge to Freedom Activity. In 1958 she had left Innocente's group to join with Mark L. Prophet to start the Summit Lighthouse, which was to become the Church Universal and Triumphant. It was originally published in Florida by Wayne Taylor, who at the time was the president of Sologa, Inc., a New Age church founded in Florida by Ruth Scoles Lenox, for which his wife Grace was the channel. On Taylor and Lenox see the note under Solograph. In 1968, he left with Grace to Columbus, New Mexico to found the City of the Sun and Christ's Truth Church and School of Wisdom, which published the Golden Dawn (q.v.) as its organ. Myneta then moved her organization and this journal to Scarsdale, New York, and when these faded she contributed to and edited the Father's House (1969-1979) (q.v.), and contributed regularly to the Van Polens' Ruby Focus of Magnificent Consummation, in which the Master El Morya and the Queen of Light (through Evangeline Van Polen) described Myneta's work and role in the Masters revelation of themselves to the world: "Then came My project, The BRIDGE TO FREEDOM, which still stands on the Holy Grounds of Long Island. Beloved Mary Myneta is one of the flourishing seeds of LOVE from these days. She is THE MENTOR. Oh, how We love her!" "Then the Beloved MARY MYNETA, whose Sanctuary and home walls are draped with a Great ARTIST'S IMMORTAL ART, that of PAUL THE VENETIAN. What a beautiful privilege as He is now the MAHA CHOHAN. The Magazine, 'THE MENTOR", is also her creation, thru magnificent attunement. It is the idea of the HIERARCHY that their taste for DIVINE LITERATURE is the pure, the beautiful, as she carries us into realms and labyrinths of Golden Beauty, only found in the HIGHEST HEAVENS! She stresses the GOLDEN CROSS in this OPEN LETTER; yet, may we add the GOLDEN ROBE?"
