From Pat Deveney's database:
Solograph. This began without preamble and in medias res with a single-sheet newsletter from "Ruth of Miami" announcing the Solar Initiation to take place in February 1962, accompanied by a communication from the Master St. Germaine confirming that on that date "the Earth will enter more fully into the higher vibrations and the golden emanations of the CENTRAL SUN. At this time our Sun will lead its group of planets, by the force of its moving, into a place of Higher Consciousness in space." Ruth was Ruth Scoles Lenox (1895-1965), a visionary and messenger from many of the usual Ascended Masters and a few of the lesser known ones: Kuthumi, the Lord of the Sun, Saint Germaine, June of Venus, Ban-Dhu, Lemoran of Lemuria, Ixutel, Ga-Bri-El, an Angelic Messenger of the Sons of Suns, St. Francis, Hilarion, Plutana, et al., as well as from a host of "Space Brothers" who spoke from various "Space Craft stationed above the earth," like Mykar on Space Craft #1260. In 1962 she incorporated Sologa, Inc. in Florida, a name she explained in the journal: "SOLOGA is a unit of the Golden Legion of THE SOLAR LOGOS dedicated to speaking and living the WORD in this plane of vibration. Its name is a composite of SO from SOLAR, LOG from LOGOS, and A from Aleph or Alpha and Omega. The SOLOGA therefore means GOD expressed here and now." (It should not be confused with "Sologo," whose communications frequently graced the journal, who was the highest Spiritual Center of Consciousness in the Solar System of the Star Sirius and who was the Sponsor of Sologa.) The Golden Legion of LIOLIA (the light of the Central Sun) of which Sologa formed the local branch, had fought for 300,000 years under the command of Master Jesus to develop in men through successive reincarnations all the powers and abilities possible in each cycle. In the present Aquarian Age, Sologa was to develop the Healing Power of the Christ and join in the work of spreading it to all the universes of the Central Sun. This was done through instructions by Ruth and class meditations, after which the students reported their visions and experiences, which were then printed in the journal: On April 20, 1962, for example, "Barbara was astonished to see an Eye within an Eye. At the same time Madelene from a distant town and not present at our meeting in body was surprised to see a light within a light," etc. There were also healing sessions and self-realization classes where the "conscious mind blocks the still small voice" and allowed entrance to the energy of Father-Mother God. The group seems to have been successful. It was said to have branches in many states which have left no record, and a "Group #49" is mentioned in the journal indicating a wide distribution. Excerpts from the journal were regularly republished in Chimes (q.v.). Lenox was a teacher in the Miami public schools for almost 40 years and then moved to Oregon in 1963. In 1965, after her death, Wayne Hannibal Taylor (1903-1991), who had been editing and publishing the journal, became president of Solaga and his wife Grace became the channel for the Masters. In 1968 they moved to Columbus, New Mexico (the town somewhat notable for Pancho Villa's raid across the Mexican border in 1916) to start Christ's Truth Church and School of Wisdom and the City of the Sun commune in preparation for the transition to the Golden Age. On Taylor, see the note under The Golden Dawn and The Mentor. While publishing Solograph Taylor had also been publishing The Mentor for Mrs. Mildred Boos ("Mary Myneta") in New York. She had been one of the central figures in the Bridge to Freedom Activity. See the note under Bridge to Freedom. The journal never discussed the connections of its work with that of other I AM groups, but the identity of the various personages (like Morya and Kuthumi) contacted by Lenox tie it conclusively to the better known I AM/Ascended Master movements and Wayne Taylor's relationship with Mary Myneta makes it obvious that Lenox was aware of the context in which she published. She does quote several times Alice Bailey's Esoteric Psychology, a part of her Treatise on the Seven Rays which undoubtedly played a role in the origins of the Ballards' I AM work. The journal consisted almost entirely of channeled communications from the Masters (and from Space Ship crew members) but also carried small contributions by various SLA members and reviews of pamphlets and books from other small New Age groups. Lenox appended "S.L.A." to her name and displayed it on the masthead. The meaning is unknown but it may indicate "Solonga Legion of [America?]."
