The Bulletin International de l'Étoile was the French edition of the International Star Bulletin, published from the Star Camp at Ommen in Holland and devoted to the talks of Jiddu Krishnamurti as 'l'instructeur du Monde,' the World Teacher the Order of the Star in the East had been founded to herald. Its pages carry his meditations on suffering, freedom and the futility of authority — including the period around August 1929, when he dissolved the Order itself with the declaration that 'truth is a pathless land.' The salience panel misreads its philosophical 'esprit' as spiritualism and a stray 'gall' as phrenology; neither survives adjudication. It belongs squarely with the Order of the Star and Krishnamurti, within the parent Theosophical milieu from which the movement sprang. Generated by Claude from the periodical's digitized text; a thematic reading, not a bibliographic description. |
