This was the companion of Revue Theurgique, filled with long discourses on theurgy ("une science divine a l'aide de laquelle les etres [sic] d'ici-bas se mettent, par evocation, en rapport avec les humains qui ont vecu sur la terre ou dans d'autres mondes.") and on Jacob's confusing free-thought Calendrier Theurgique which sought to replace the Catholic calendar of saints' days with one of his own devising, was based on reverence for Buddha, Ieseus Christna, Apollonius of Tyana, et al.
