This was a standard lodge bulletin of the Adyar Theosophical society, with excerpts from C.W. Leadbeater, copy of the lodge bylaws, news of the doings of the Order of the Star in the East, etc. The name of the lodge refers to the dried salt lake in the Tarim Basin in China that some Theosophists of the time saw as "our Aryan Cradle," the home of the Fifth Root Race -- and later, in the 1960s, the site of Chinese nuclear testing.
