The journal was beautifully laid out and illustrated; after the first number, the covers were in full color. There were at least seven issues, whose titles are given and content described in Ingeborg Besser "Die Presse des Neueren Okkultismus von 1875-1933" (Ph.D. thesis, Leipzig, 1945). The name of the journal is derived from Boehme's writings. This was the organ of the Collegium Pansophicum founded in 1922 by Tranker (1880-1956) and his wife, Helene, along with Eugen Grosche, Albin Grau, and Karl Germer. The individual issues are really books on separate subjects with 100+ pages: Die Pansophie der Hermetischen Bruderschaft vom Rosenkreuz; Franz Hartmann's Im Vorhof des Tempels der Weisheit; Bernhard Beyer's Das Lehrsyste der Gold- und Rosenkreuzer (with the famous, often reproduced chart of the grade system of the Brethren of the Gold and Rosy Cross that was taken up by the Order of the Golden Dawn); Kleines mystisch-magisches Bilderbüchlein für fleissiger übende A.B.C. Schüler der Fraternität vom Rosenkreuz; etc. As might be expected of Tranker, who claimed the mantle of Theodor Reuss, the Pansophic Movement taught the power of "magic faith" and "pure concentrated, divine WILL--Thelema." "Henkelkreuzman" (i.e., Tranker, or Brother Recnartus), Mystischer Feuerschein (vol. 3, nos. 1-3, 1925). Vol. 7, no. 1, was a translation of Wege zum Sanktuarium. Das magische Werk der "Großen weissen Bruderschaft," anonymous but by Aleister Crowley, later reprinted by the same press as Das Herz des Meisters" by "Khaled Khan." The three parts of volume 7 have added to them the Pansophische Orient, the official reports of the Collegium Pansophicum. O.W. Barth was one of the founders of Tranker's Lotus-Gesellschaft, and also published Lotus-Blatter and Alchemistische Blatter. On Tranker see also the note under Pansophic Intellectualizer.
