Summary: |
From Pat Deveney's database:
Neugeist. This was the Weisse Fahne with the added title of Neugeist. It featured monthly meditation themes, a correspondence column, lists of New Thought practitioners and groups around the world, and a variety of contributions by Peryt Shou and others, including many pseudonymous authors like Germanicus and Praktikus, on topics like "New Thought and the German Revolution," "Goethe on the Daemonic," "Magical Visions," "New Thought in India" (Vivekananda), "New Thought -- An Oasis in the Wasteland," "On the Holy Grail," "What Should Children Eat after Weaning?," and a play in four acts: "The Last Patient." The journal carried about 40 pages of advertising that was an extravagance of Life Reform, vegetarianism, flower oil, quack medicines, devices and cures ("Vitamin R," "German Breath Clock" (for exercising rhythmic breathing," "Kundalini Oil" (to make the skin young again), dubious food-preparation utensils, pensions in sunny locations, lessons on "Harmonious Marriage" and "The Mysterious Life Force," "Life Force Rays," promoters of "Ancient Wisdom," etc., etc. ZDB: Tubingen UB; Stuttgart WLB; Freiburg UB; Marbach Dt.
