Message of the East. This was the journal of Swami Paramananda (1884-1940), a Bengali student of Swami Vivekananda who was dispatched to the United States by the Ramakrishna Order. It contained schedules of talks, services and classes for medication and practical spiritual training at the Vedanta Center in Boston, together with translations of Indian spiritual classics and articles by Vivekananda, Sister Devamata, G.C. Ghosh, et al., on Paramananda's views on universalism and practical mysticism leading to self-mastery.
