Summary: |
From Pat Deveney's database:
Luz y Ciencia. The journal bragged that it was the "cheapest and the highest circulation journal in Mexico and the United States." It listed branches (”catedras ciudadanas”) of the EMECU in Texas, including "Luz y Verdad," the "primera seccion intelectual" in Texas, founded in 1923 by Jose M. Mora, who had started La Ofrenda in Laredo in 1918 and contributed to Confraternal in Monterrey. This was the organ of the San Antonio branch (catedral) of the Escuela Magnetico-Espiritual de la Comuna Universal of Joaquin Trincado. On him and his organization see the note under Balanza.
