Ezotericno pisma [Esoteric Letters].
1922-1924 Monthly
Ljubljana, Slovenia, Yugoslavia. Language: Slovenian.
Editor: Edvard Serko.
1/1, 1922-1924. 8 pp., handwritten and duplicated. Anton Rozman has described the background of this journal: "In 1921, Dr. Edvard Serko published the brochure "Theosophy is the Wisdom of God and the Wisdom about God," which aroused considerable interest and gave birth to the idea of organizing the Preparatory Committee for the Establishment of the Theosophical Society in Yugoslavia. This was begun in November of that same year in the Vransko region (Slovenia). The committee decided to start its newsletter, called "Ezotericno pisma" (Esoteric Letters), which began publication in May 1922. The efforts to establish an organization for all of Yugoslavia were unsuccessful, so the committee decided to establish an organization for the territory of Slovenia only. In May 1923, the committee issued a notice on the founding assembly of the Theosophical Society and suspended the publication of the Esoteric Letters for two months and then continued publishing in August 1923 until April 1924, when the Theosophical Company ceased operations and suspended the publication of Esoteric Letters."
A national journal for the Theosophical Society in Yugoslavia, Teozofija (q.v.), was begun in Zagreb in 1927 and lasted until about 1941.
