The Coming Day was the monthly of John Page Hopps, a liberal Unitarian minister, published in London from 1891 to 1898, and it reads first as progressive religious journalism: biblical criticism, ethical theology, comment on public questions, and a hopeful reforming Christianity announced by the title itself. Its governing conviction, stated in its own pages, is that revelation is not closed and final and that religious truth is discovered as other truths are discovered.
