1/1, October 15, 1953-1978, with several issues published at least as late as 1982 by his wife Dorris after Van Tassel's death in 1978. 8-16 typewritten and reproduced pages, sent free of charge (or "free to those requesting it and who financially support cost and printing by donations"). George W. Van Tassel (1910-1978) was a pilot and mechanic who after World War II set up a rest stop in the Mojave Desert in Southern California with a small airport (later called a Spaceport) and cafe ("Come on Inn") near Giant Rock, one of the largest freestanding boulders in the world. This apparently attracted or empowered visits from the "Space People" and in 1952 he began to receive messages (both telepathically and by hearing) from the likes of Lutbunn, a senior commander of the "planet patrol" from Schare. The next year he was taken aboard a visiting space ship and began to be instructed by Solganda, a 700 year-old Venusian, and then by a dizzying sequence of others, like Density, Tae, Randalla, and Schuma, who put him in contact with the Council of Seven Lights in a spacecraft circling the earth ("Shani"). This was directed by Astar Sheran, a 12-foot-tall alien from the Pleiades who was Commandant of the Ashtar Galactic Command, which was charged with overseeing and monitoring earth. In the early days these messages tended to be admonitory, cautioning mankind about the dangers of the Hydrogen Bomb, etc. (a common contactee theme), and "scientific" in the sense of expounding Tesla-like New Age theories of free energy, magnetotherapy, anti-gravity, and the like, and the messengers seem usually to have been "Adamic" humans, advanced in knowledge and little more. Solgonda in 1954 instructed Van Tassel on the method of constructing the Integratron, a 16-sided cupola in the desert that could rejuvenate men and let them defy gravity and travel through time. Van Tassel spent the rest of his life trying to construct the Integratron but left it unfinished at his death in 1978. In his later years, and especially after his death, Van Tassel's disciples tended to make his messengers conform ever closer to the "Ascended Masters" model of the "I AM" movements, and Commandant Ashter, for example, has become a seventh-dimensional Ascended Master, commanding the vast intergalactic fleet ("the Silver Fleet") under the authority of Lord Michael or Sananda Jesus. The journal carried saucer news from around the world, transcripts of Van Tassel's trance channeling (largely unintelligible descriptions of the planes and levels of the universe and the advanced science and psychology of the Space People).
