1/1, 1847-1905. 190 pp. (varies), 50 centimes an issue. Although the almanac began in 1847, there seems to have been a lapse between that date and 1857 and none of the earlier issues survives. This contained the usual features for almanacs: church and secular calendars, tables of moving feasts, seasons, eclipses, and appropriate times for various activities and predictions for the coming year. Unlike its English contemporaries, the journal contained little instruction on astrology and its practice. Interspersed through the journal were articles on "The Tombs of the Jewish Patriarchs at Hebron," "The Price of Theater Seats," "Treatment of Hair Loss," and other filler.
