1/1, November 1902-1905. $4.00 a year in advance, 32 pp. This was a typical Kardecist journal that published communications obtained by mediuns identified only by their initials, poems, reviews of primarily Spanish journals and notices of local happenings, and articles on spiritism and topics like telepathy. Spiritism had came into Chile in the last quarter of the nineteenth century from Spain and from France and by 1883 the first journal, Revista Espiritista, appeared in Valparaiso, the product of Walter E. Burton, a native of Philadelphia. This journal was the organ of the Centro Jacinto Chacón of Valparaiso and its Santiago affiliate. Carolina Farwell, the editor, is said to have been the pseudonym of Jose Ramon Ballesteros of Valparaiso. Noted in Monde Occulte, 1904, and Revue Spirite, January 1, 1904.
